The Trinity Universe was the second edition of the Æon Continuum, in general, a science fiction setting, using the D20 System. While not a game line by itself, it was the shared universe of several additional games. Each game represents a point along a continuum. The common factor in each TU game was the Æon Society, a semi-secret organization dedicated to protecting the human race.

On September 25, 2003, Sword & Sorcery Studios announced an upcoming new edition of the Æon Continuum using the d20 system, to be renamed the Trinity Universe.

In 2012, Onyx Path Publishing purchased the full rights to the Trinity Universe from White Wolf, with the intent to release their own new edition using the Storypath System, to be titled the Trinity Continuum, combining both previous names.

Background Information[]

  • This is the first edition where the overarching setting (the Trinity Universe) got its own logo.
  • The "Trinity Universe" name dates back to the back cover text of many 1st edition Trinity books; its usage suggested "the universe that Trinity takes place in" rather than an umbrella term for all three settings.
